The VI International Conference on Ticks and Tick-borne Pathogens (TTP-6) will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from September 21 to 26, 2008. This meeting will provide the opportunity to analyze, from a wide perspective, the complex world of ticks and the pathogens they transmit. As tick boundaries expand with global warming, their control increasingly defies researchers in the fields of biology, veterinary and medical sciences, and reveals the importance of a multidisciplinary approach. For this reason, the TTP6 theme will be: "The challenge of ticks in a warming planet".
In addition, the beautiful Buenos Aires City, with its numerous opportunities for sightseeing, enjoying cultural activities, tasting excellent food and wine and, especially, immersing in the genuine spirit of tango, will provide a warm atmosphere for stimulating long-lasting bonds among participants.
On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees, we encourage you to participate in TTP-6 for a memorable personal and scientific experience.

Sincerely,

Mónica Florin-Christensen,Ph.D.
Marisa Farber, Ph.D.
TTP-6 organizer and co-organizer
